William H. Harvey Company - Faucet Repair Kits

In 1944,
William H. Harvey Sr. originated the idea of the pre-formed wax gasket for setting toilet bowls, Bol-Wax. He combined 7 different kinds of wax to make a mixture, which he knew would satisfy the needs of the plumber. He knew from his 25 years of experience as a master plumber that the wax must never harden, deteriorate, or dry out, or else the seal would become ineffective. Cold temperature must also be considered, because here too, if the gasket was too hard when the toilet bowl was tightened down, the bowl would crack.

Today, more than 3500 plumbing specialty items are sold throughout North and South America. It would be difficult to find a hardware store that does not stock some products made by the Harvey Company. 135 sales representatives call on over 5,000 plumbing and hardware wholesalers nationally. New items are added every year.

The William H. Harvey Company employees are proud of their work and do it very well. The original factory produced 1440 gaskets per day. Today, our demand requires a three shift, 24 hour continuous operation. Thanks to our great employees, suppliers and valued customers, we hope to see our business, which started on just one product, continue to grow well into the twenty first century.
