Stair Supplies manufactures fine quality handrail that is 99% of the time free from joints. Some woods require joints for longer lengths.
Tight Tolerances
Our tolerances from one handrail to another are extremely tight. Our craftsmen measure handrails with calipers and a special set of gauges crafted to check handrails. The tolerances between handrail and fittings is equally tight. Every fitting is inspected and quality checked with gauges to ensure they meet our tight tolerances. Stair supplies does everything possible to produce handrail and fittings that match perfectly, nonetheless wood expands and contracts. Wood moves with humidity and each piece moves differently based upon wood species, grain, and how it is glued. Expect some sanding when handrails are joined to fittings. Since each pieces is hand sanded at Stair Supplies by our craftsmen to remove machining marks expect to sand to bring together a beautiful fit between

About Us
The idea of Stair Supplies was first conceived in the mind of Len Morris back in 2002. Len has always had a passion for woodworking and creating something beautiful out of a piece of lumber. After gaining the support of his wife, Marci, and together with much thought and prayer, Stair Supplies was birthed in 2003, which was then, just a Mom and Pop organization. Putting together a very simple website and sending all the customer phone calls to just one cell phone, Len and Marci realized that this was a truly viable business and worked to build the company. They acquired a warehouse in Goshen, Indiana and hired just a couple of employees to help with pulling orders and shipping. We currently are in two 20,000 square feet warehouses, employ about 30 people and manufacture all the wood products in-house. What started as just a dream has become reality and God continues to bless us in amazing ways.

Our company's goal is to help you have great looking stairs that are safe, affordable and timely. We will guide you through the process of picking patterns and wood types that complement each other to achieve the exact look that you want in your project.
